I am a United States Marine Corps Veteran, Gamer, Reader, Movie-goer, and Poet. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in English, and I focused on poetry.

About my collections

In movies, I tend towards campy movies. I think my preferred genre is Horror/Comedy. ie- An American Werewolf in London, Army of Darkness, Shaun of the Dead, and Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. Though I have developed something of a taste for artsy-fartsy-type movies.

As a reader, I think I'm pretty well-read. I spent a lot of time in my teenage years reading Dungeons & Dragons-style books, and then I graduated into Science Fiction and other forms of literature. Robert A. Heinlein's A Stranger in a Strange Land was my gateway there. Currently I'm a huge fan of Cormac McCarthy. I am also in love with reading and writing poetry.

Music-wise, I lean towards Heavy Metal. Though off the top of my head, my favorite current bands would be The Toadies, The Sword, The Darkness and Clutch.

I've been gaming since '86. I've owned just about every system there is, and I have extensive gaming experience. I think I'd like to review games for a living, I think that would be loads of fun, and I enjoy discussing the Ludology of Games and Gaming Theory. I prefer Tactical Shooters, Turn-Based Strategy, and RPG's. My gamertag is the same as it is here, GruntLogic. Look me up and maybe we can play sometime. I never get too intense, Win, Lose, or Draw, I'm just there to have fun. That's the bottom line, have fun. After all, if you're not having fun playing a game, why are you playing it at all?

Thanks a lot man for the list vote and comments. I think it's pretty awesome that we have very similar tastes. I think another reason that we may get along is the simple reason that we both have degree's in English.

Thanks a lot for the vote and compliment on my list of favourite TV shows. Sounds like you're another Bruce Campbell fan. It's always cool to find more of those.

I wish the guy's career had been more consistent, but at least we've got the Evil Dead pictures, "Bubba Ho-Tep", and some of his great TV work to enjoy.

Thanks for the comments man! Yeah, the soundtrack for Crow: City of Angels is the only thing worthwhile about it. I still listen to about half the songs off it from time to time.

I have a feeling I'll give Eraserhead another chance some day...maybe do one of those things where I watch a handful of Lynch's films some month. Everyone seems to think I'm insane for disliking it, so maybe a re-watch will find me having a different point of view now. It's been at least 15 years since I saw it.
